 Founder and Secretary of Paryavaran Evam Prodyogiki Utthan Samiti (PEPUS), a State-Level organization for Uttar Pradesh. Mr. Hari Ram is engaged in Capacity Building of Brick Kiln Laboures including Migrant Workers for ensuring their Entitlements.
He is playing very important role for Strengthening and alround betterment of Migrant & Brick Kiln Labourers engaged at source. PEPUS started its grassroot work under the guidance & facilitation of Mr. Hari Ram in the Naugarh Block of District Chandauli in the year 1990. During the tenure of around 17 (1990-2007) years PEPUS worked with the Trible, Scheduled Caste and other Marginalised Community and among them with Women & Children. The major activities were running Education Centres to Children, Community awareness on Health & Environment, Mother and Child care, Promotion of SHGs and CBOs for taking Stake of their Development. Besides education to nearly 1200 dropouts/nonschool going children (Male-Female both) PEPUS has been able to form two peoples group namely Gram Vikas Samiti and Dalit Mahila Samiti. These are Community led groups and now independently addressing the issues around their Community.
Being facilitator to Women SHGs and well versed participatory trainer Mr. Hari Ram got invitation from Bangladesh & Sri Lanka as a specialist of SHG Trainer. He went both the countries and imparted training to the participants called by the local bodies in both the countries. Mr. Hari Ram has very deep Technical Knowledge of different types of Brick Kilns like Fixed Chimaney model, VSVK Model and currently prioritized Zig Zag Model. It is also worth noting that more than 300 fireman also got Technical expertise on Brick Kilns through Trainings organised by PEPUS and Supported by Teri , New Delhi.
Mr. Hari Ram as a Key Chief Functionary of Paryavaran Evam Prodyogiki Utthan Samiti (PEPUS) is Member of several state and National Networks like VANI, UPVAN, UPVHA and National Coalition for Security of Migrant Workers etc.
